camera raw -details tab noise reduction

noise என்பது அணைத்து டிஜிட்டல் கேமராவில் தோன்றும் ஒரு பெரிய பிரச்சனை.

noise என்றால் என்ன?

இரைச்சல்  (noise ) என்பது போட்டோவில் சிதறி கிடக்கும் தேவையில்லாத வண்ண பிக்சல்கள்,இவை பெரும்பாலும் 5 நிறங்களில் காணப்படும்(சிவப்பு,பச்சை,நீலம்,கருப்பு,வெள்ளை ).இரைச்சல் ஜூம் செய்து பார்க்கையிலே தான் தெளிவாக தெரியும்.இரைச்சலை குறைக்கயில் sharpening ஐ சேர்த்து செய்வது நல்லது.

உதாரணமாக கீழ்க்கண்ட படம் தெளிவாக தெரிவது போல் இருந்தாலும் ஜூம் செய்கையில் அதன் அதிக இரைச்சலை காணமுடியும்.

உண்மையாக இந்த படம் 13mb அளவுள்ளது. ஜூம் செய்த படம்

ஏற்க்கனவே கூறியபடி noise reduction பிரிவு detail tabன் இரண்டாம் பாகம்.

 

முதலில் color noise ஐ குறைக்க வேண்டும் ,அதாவது  சிவப்பு,பச்சை,நீல இரைச்சல் பிக்சல்களை சாம்பல் நிற பிக்சலாக மற்ற வேண்டும்.

இதனை செய்ய 4 வது ஸ்லைடரை இடமிருந்து வலமாக நகர்த்தவேண்டும்.

பிறகு luminance ஸ்லைடரை நகர்த்துங்கள்,பெரும்பாலும் color ஸ்லைடரை காட்டிலும் luminance ஸ்லைடர் அதிகமாக செட் செய்வது இயல்பு.அனால் அளவுக்கு அதிகமாக இதனை செட் செய்தால் நமது போட்டோ sharpness ஐ இழந்து soft ஆக தோன்றும்,மேலும் நாம் contrast ஐ இழப்போம்.soft ஆக தோன்றும் பட்சத்தில் luminance detail ஸ்லைடரை அதிகரிக்கலாம். நான் முக பகுதிக்கு அதிக detail தர மாட்டேன் ,அதற்க்கு பதிலாக குறைப்பேன்,எனவே சருமம் soft ஆக தோன்றும்

 contrast ஐ  இழக்க நேரிட்டால் luminance contrast ஸ்லைடரை பயன்படுத்துங்கள்.

 

noise is nothing but scattered unwanted pixels over a photo,normally noise occurs in 5 colors(red,green,blue,white,black)first three noise are collectively named as color noise,the remaining noise is known as luminance noise.all digital camera produce some noise,and it is quiet more in raw images.

normally noise cannot be noticed in photo when it is viewed in fit in view.so zoomed the first photo near to the eyes.wow,there is more noise.

how to reduce noise:?

as said earlier camera raw provides two sections in its detail tab(the third tab-shorcut CTRL+ALT+3).

the second section named noise reduction provides sliders to control the noise in the photo.

the major rule followed in  reducing noise is to reduce color noise first,for that simply move color slider to the right,now most of the color noise pixel turns gray.as below

the next step is to reduce these gray pixel noise(luminance noise),for that simply move the slider of luminance to the right.most of the time its value is greater than color.

moving the luminance slider to extreme makes the photo looks soft and lost its contrast,in such cases use luminance detail slider to bring up some details.

but in case of our example is photo of face,so high value of luminance detail may bring some defect in skin,so i lowered luminance detail slider.

and if you lose the contrast make sure to use contrast slider.
